Kevin fell into a deep sleep quickly, but Eve laid thinking. Worrying.

She should have held back more. She shouldn’t have been that bold their first time back together. She shouldn’t have done what she’d done on the couch the other night either, but he hadn’t seemed bothered by that. She grinned. No, definitely not bothered.

But surely he was going to wonder how she’d learned some of the things she’d learned. Throwing her leg over his shoulder had not been particularly brilliant. And that bit about being on top? Geez, nothing like giving it all up at once.

When they’d last been together, they’d made love exactly four times, all in the same night. Their wedding night. The first time with him had been her first time ever. It had been the first time she’d seen or touched a penis in person without his jeans barely pulled out of the way with only the car’s dashboard lights illuminating things. They’d used the same position—the traditional, with him on top—all four times.

It wouldn’t take him long to realize that either she’d been watching porn or had some experience with an erection other than his.

Or, in actuality, both. At the same time once or twice.

What was she ready for him to know?

Maybe more importantly, what was Kevin ready to know?

Okay, so she was probably going to have to hold back a bit. It wasn’t like sex with him would ever be less than amazing. She knew he had experience—probably more than she wanted to know—so maybe she’d let him lead things and keep her mouth shut.

At least about the things that Kevin didn’t want to know. She knew that he didn’t want to know about the time she and Zach got naked on the not-exactly-a-nude-beach, or the time she and Andy gave some college guys an eyeful at a Green Day concert, or the time she and Tom…

Anyway.

The other guys didn’t matter. She could leave those parts out. Because she was very okay with him leaving out the exact number of blow jobs he’d had before her. Among other things.

She could probably also leave out the three months she’d smoked. She didn’t need to tell him about her unfortunate relationship with peach schnapps because that was definitely over. Forever. And he probably didn’t need to know about the one night—one night—when she said “what the hell” when the marijuana was passed around.

But otherwise—there were a few little details he should probably know about. Like her arrest, for instance. She hadn’t been convicted. She hadn’t done anything wrong—other than pick a roommate out of the classifieds—but it was on her record.

She rolled toward him, reaching to put her hand on his back. She absorbed the warmth of his skin, the rise and fall as he breathed and she finally dozed and then fell into an actual sleep, the late nights and the crazy tornado of emotions combining with the big, hot body next to her and the rip-roaring orgasm to create the perfect recipe for a deep, contented sleep.
